The property was built in the late eighteenth century as the family residence of Mar\u00eda del Carmen de Lugo Vi\u00f1a y Molina. The outside displays the rationalism behind this and many other houses built at the time, making discreet use of masonry for the bordering of windows and the main entrance. This is the most characteristic element of the whole structure, framing the lintelled openings on both floors, topped on the upper level with a simple triangular pediment. The interior space is organised around the central patio, which leads into the various rooms of the house. A highlight is the woodwork in the galleries and on the struts. Today the building is property of the municipality and is occupied by administration offices.<\/p>\n
