25 Casa Zerolo Fuentes

In the plot that remained after the previous property burnt down in 1843, Doctor Tomás Zerolo Herrera (1851-1910), who was originally from Lanzarote, had this building erected in 1883 as a family residence and medical practice. It is a quite unique example of romantic classicism from Manuel de Oraá y Arcocha’s architectural catalogue. It is particularly notable for the use of masonry window mouldings and grillwork on its window sills and balconies, on a façade the regularity of which is determined by a symmetrical arrangement around a central axis. Since the end of the twentieth century it has housed PROBOSCO, an association that was created with the aim of providing resources to adults with intellectual disabilities and major support needs.
